Exclusive GUSA Campaign Facebook Group by Invitation Only
CAMPUS — The GUSA presidential ticket of James Franconia (MSB ’11) and Peter McLoughlin (MSB ’11) launched their official GUSA campaign Facebook group last week, but made it invisible to general users and only allowed students to join it by invitation. “We didn’t want a bunch of people we don’t know in here,” said Franconia, who seeks a plurality of the vote of the entire student body and who invited only certain Facebook friends, those from his tight-knit social group. “If people saw that there were a bunch of lame-os in this group, nobody would vote for us.” Franconia and McLoughlin said that they hoped the time-worn strategy of being the douchiest two guys in the GUSA race will once again prove victorious.
