Television Psychic and Presidential Candidate Predicts Win in ‘04
Dean and Clark expected to Drop Out of Race
For several months, presidential candidate and TV psychic John Edwards has been struggling to receive the attention and support that has been given to front-runners Howard Dean and Gen. Wes Clark. This may have changed last Friday however, as Edwards announced on his popular television show “Crossing Over” that he predicts a win in the 2004 election against Bush.
Edwards first became a national figure in 2000 when his show was first aired on the Sci-Fi channel. His youthful looks and amazing talent for communicating with the deceased made him a popular figure among senior citizens and stay-at-home dads nation-wide. Edwards said that he had been hesitant to use his skills in his campaign for the presidency, but he said that Abraham Lincoln insisted in a recent conversation that he should go public with the prediction.
While Dean and Clark are expected to end their campaign today, none of the rest of the candidates have mentioned dropping from the race. Candidate Al Sharpton spoke for the rest of the field when he said that they were just running “for shits and giggles” anyway.
