If you liked Fox’s hit reality show ‘Joe Millionaire,’ then you’ll love what’s in store this fall’s season…‘Joe Terminal Cancer.’

The new series will follow a format similar to ‘Joe Millionaire.’ A group of twenty women will compete for the affection of a lucky bachelor, who will in turn select his bride-to-be after a series of dates and tests. Just as in ‘Joe Millionaire,’ the bachelor has a secret that his female suitors don’t know about. But this Joe’s secret isn’t his lack of money; his secret is that he has terminal cancer and has only three months to live.

“Boy, will those ladies be surprised when they find out that our handsome bachelor has a chronic illness that will kill him dead in the very near future,” said a grinning Fox executive. “This will be a surprise that everyone in America can look forward to.”

Shrewd Fox executives capitalized on the success of ‘Joe Millionaire,’ and created the sequel show with hopes of matching the first show’s ratings.

“This time around, we needed a really shocking secret that could pose a true threat to the happiness of a new couple…something that would really challenge winner of Joe Terminal Cancer’s affection,” said a Fox executive. “And to that end, what better secret than a terminal case of cancer?” he added.

Fox, a network renowned for its insightful and astute programming, also has plans for developing more sequels including Joe AIDS, Joe Convicted Rapist, and Joe Homosexual.
